Jennifer Howlett (She/Her) Clinical Intern Works with Children 8-17 years old & Adults
Jen holds a BA in Liberal Arts with a minor in Social Studies and is pursuing her MA in Clinical Mental Counseling at Southern New Hampshire University. With a diverse background as a Life Transition Coach, End-of-Life Doula, Health Coach, Celtic Shamanic Practitioner, Reiki Practitioner, and Ordained Minister, Jen brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her practice. She has worked extensively with clients dealing with anxiety, substance use disorder, eating disorders, mood disorders, depression, grief and loss, major life transitions, codependency, and challenging interpersonal relationships She approaches her work from a strengths-based perspective. Jen's integrative counseling framework draws from a diverse array of techniques, including Existential Psychology, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Mindfulness, somatic practices, and embodiment techniques.

In her counseling philosophy, Jen combines existential therapy, rational cultural therapy, and strength-based approaches to empower individuals to tap into their innate capacity for healing. She assists clients in finding personal meaning and authenticity by addressing existential concerns such as freedom and purpose. By fostering an inclusive and supportive environment, Jen helps clients explore and challenge the impact of cultural and societal influences on their mental health. She focuses on uncovering and amplifying clients' strengths and resilience to enhance their self-efficacy and overcome challenges. Jen guides clients in exploring their concerns, challenging limiting beliefs, and celebrating their strengths. Her ultimate goal is to help clients tap into their inner resources, navigate life's challenges, and live authentically.
