Erica is the Clinical Operations Coordinator at the Canvas of Life Counseling. She holds her MHRT-C and is currently a student at the University of Maine at Augusta (UMA), where she is pursuing her Bachelor’s degree in Mental Health and Human Services with a minor in Addiction Counseling. In addition to her studies, Erica works full time in a young adult mental health transitional living program and previously served as a Certified Intentional Peer Support Specialist. Her background also includes experience as a CNA, Pharmacy Technician, in medical records, and within a school based health center. These roles have provided her with a well rounded understanding of both the clinical and operational sides of care. In her role at the Canvas of Life Counseling, Erica supports the overall functioning of the practice through a combination of administrative, operational, and compliance related responsibilities. She works closely with clinicians to support documentation workflows, chart auditing, onboarding processes, payroll coordination, and payer related tasks, including Acentra registrations, continued stay reviews, and discharges. Her work helps ensure consistency, accuracy, and alignment with clinical and insurance requirements across the practice. Erica brings a thoughtful, trauma informed lens to her work and values clear communication, reliability, and follow through. She helps maintain a steady and organized foundation within the practice, allowing clinicians to focus on providing high quality care to their clients. Outside of work, Erica enjoys spending time with friends and family, traveling, camping, and fishing. She has a genuine enthusiasm for connecting with others and as a December born Sagittarius, she also appreciates a good, not so good, dad joke.
