Autumn's Supervision Philosophy
My supervision philosophy is grounded in the belief that supervision is a collaborative relationship that supports growth, reflection, accountability, and professional identity development. I strive to create a psychologically safe environment where supervisees feel respected, challenged, and supported as they develop their skills and confidence. Guided by a strengths-based and growth-oriented approach, I view mistakes and uncertainty as opportunities for learning and encourage reflective practice, self-awareness, and critical thinking. Drawing from social work values and my interest in mindfulness-informed leadership, I aim to foster authentic supervisory relationships characterized by trust, curiosity, transparency, and mutual learning. My goal is to help supervisees become ethical, reflective, culturally responsive practitioners and leaders who can navigate complexity with confidence, humility, and compassion.
