Tracie's Counseling Philosophy
As a clinical therapist, Tracie believes that relationships are at the heart of the human experience. From our earliest attachments to our adult partnerships and friendships, we are shaped, challenged, and ultimately healed through connection. She understands that emotional well-being is deeply tied to one’s capacity for intimacy, authenticity, and self-expression—both with others and within oneself. Tracie’s counseling philosophy is rooted in a holistic, relational approach that honors the uniqueness of each individual while recognizing the power of the therapeutic relationship as a catalyst for change. She is committed to creating a warm, inclusive, and non-judgmental space where clients feel safe to explore their inner world, express their truth, and engage in meaningful self-discovery. Drawing from attachment theory, somatic awareness, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and evidence-based relational models such as Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and the Gottman Method, Tracie works with individuals and couples navigating challenges related to emotional closeness, sexual connection, trust, communication, identity, and life transitions. She views intimacy not simply as a matter of compatibility, but as an evolving process of presence, vulnerability, and deep authenticity. Life can bring stressors that leave people feeling overwhelmed, isolated, or disconnected—from others and from themselves. Whether someone is recovering from betrayal, exploring their identity, or seeking to reconnect after trauma, Tracie’s goal is to walk alongside them with curiosity, courage, and compassion. She is passionate about helping clients uncover their strengths, increase self-awareness, and develop tools that foster empowerment, healing, and sustainable well-being. Tracie believes that relationship work is healing work—and that when individuals are met with attuned care in their most vulnerable moments, true transformation becomes possible. She welcomes the opportunity to support clients in their journey of growth, authenticity, and connection.
