Lauren Eichler (She/Her) Clinical Intern Lauren is a dedicated clinical intern who brings warmth, insight, and a strong sense of advocacy to the counseling room. Her rich professional background and genuine curiosity about each client’s unique story create a welcoming and empowering therapeutic space
Lauren is currently completing her Master of Social Work (MSW) at the University of New England, where she also earned her Bachelor of Social Work (BSW). She has facilitated grief support groups for children, teens, and adults, and has worked with older adults on life transitions and finding new meaning in their lives. She brings experience in trauma‑informed care, mindfulness-based practices, and IFS-informed therapy to the counseling room. Lauren was born and raised in the Midwest, but is now very happy to call Maine her home. Living here has deepened her appreciation for nature and the grounding role it can play in peoples' lives. She enjoys being by the ocean, gardening, hiking, and spending time outdoors, especially during Maine’s Spring, Summer, and Fall seasons. In quieter moments, Lauren enjoys reading, painting, knitting by the fireplace in the winter, and finding creative ways to slow down and reconnect. Outside of her work, she values connection, curiosity, and growth. Lauren is passionate about supporting people as they learn to live in ways that feel authentic and aligned with who they are. She is fortunate enough to share her home with her human family, as well as a lively group of animals, including four very snuggly bunnies, a cat, a dog named Rudi (a goldendoodle rescue and certified therapy dog), and plenty of chickens.
Lauren's Counseling Philosophy
Lauren believes healing happens when clients experience a sense of safety and security that allows them to explore their inner selves with curiosity and compassion. In her work, she helps clients gently explore the parts of themselves that may feel burdened by anxiety, stress, trauma, grief, or overwhelm. Through this process, she focuses on identifying and strengthening clients’ inner resources so they can navigate life with greater ease, resilience, and self-compassion. Clients learn to recognize their inherent strengths, trust their inner wisdom, and develop practical skills that align with their authentic selves and unique needs. Her approach is relational, trauma-informed, and IFS-informed, designed to honor the whole person and support sustainable, meaningful growth.
