SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Be attending an accredited academic program, be a candidate in a masters of counseling or clinical social work program, be approved for an internship placement by the college, maintain good academic standing during internship field placement, be willing to serve a diverse range of clients from varied cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds, possess the ability to take professional feedback and incorporate recommendations into clinical practice, & be willing to fully assess for risk and safety.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Administer Biopsychosocial assessments, appropriate questionnaires, and diagnostic evaluations, Provide counseling services to diverse clients from all walks of life, Provide Group Therapy services, Create collaborative and cohesive treatment plans, Collaborate with other agency professionals as needed, Write concise clinical progress notes for each session, Attend weekly supervision sessions, Engage in additional trainings, online research, and other pertinent activities to meet clients needs and your program requirements, &
Maintain clients electronic health records using Simple Practice.
INTERNSHIP DETAILS
You will choose your own hours and have access to the shared office spaces, Services will be offered using a hybrid approach where some clients will meet with you in the shared office spaces and others will attend sessions using the HIPAA compliant telehealth platform via Simple Practice EHR system, You will gain confidence and and an array clinical competencies with dedicated support & guidance along the way!
STIPEND REIMBURSEMENT
A stipend will be awarded at the conclusion of the internship program, contingent upon the intern’s full compliance with all rules and guidelines, successful completion of the program in its entirety, and fulfillment of all required terms at this field site throughout the duration of the internship. This internship program was created after trying various program structures and with consideration to stipulations and laws governing interns to ensure safety for both the student and clients.
