As an intern of the Canvas of Life Counseling, I was fortunate enough to experience what a real nurturing, supportive learning environment can be. Tiffany provided consistent, intelligent, and empathetic supervision and I felt supported to practice therapy in my own unique way with her guidance. She was there in every crisis, offering sage wisdom and invaluable supervision. Under her guidance, I learned so much and was able to grow in confidence and ability as a counselor in training. The practice offers beautiful offices for therapy, with great respect for the client healing process and therapist comfort. Tiffany has worked hard to create a mutually supportive workplace culture where the interns and licensed clinicians all feel like a part of the greater whole. Tiffany provided excellent guidance throughout the entirety of my internship. From the beginning, it was clear that she has a genuine passion for training competent, ethical clinicians. She places strong emphasis on foundational skills that are sometimes overlooked in training programs, particularly documentation and treatment planning, and ensures that her interns are equipped to approach these responsibilities with confidence and integrity. Tiffany is warm, approachable, and highly responsive. She creates an environment where questions are welcomed, and where learning is supported through thoughtful, strengths-based feedback. I always felt encouraged to grow while also being challenged in meaningful ways.One valuable aspect of working with Tiffany was the opportunity to observe her clinical work. These experiences provided rich insight into trauma-informed care, including approaches such as internal family systems, accelerated resolution therapy, and mindfulness-based practices. She is also very supportive of her interns’ individual interests, both in terms of populations and clinical modalities, and encourages the development of each clinician’s unique voice and style.
